| Description: | This is a course for beginning students or students with no previous training in Fine Arts wanting an introduction to the traditional techniques of oil painting. The course deals with the most fundamental principles and elements of still-life painting, with an emphasis on the perception and build up of form, tone, and color on a two-dimensional surface. Exercises will be introduced to students in highly structured lessons, supplemented by practical demonstrations. The aim of the course is to give students the basic knowledge of techniques in oil painting. |
