| Description: | This is an intermediate course in graphic design that places emphasis on creativity and on learning the principles of aesthetic quality, both peculiar aspects of "Italian Style". Visual perception rules, structural grids, harmonic proportions, color contrasts and spatial relations of shapes as well as drawings and geometrical constructions, are among the subjects treated throughout the lessons and developed through projects and exercises. Students from all over the world will be offered a unique experience given the fact that the instruction offered is deeply rooted in the environment in which it takes places. They will be surrounded by artworks and they will be taught how to understand and how to interpret them as a source of creativity. This course is suitable for students with a graphic design background, willing to discover a new approach to these studies. It is also appropriate for art students wishing to learn more about graphic arts related to communications and advertising. |
