Study Abroad Program Deadlines, Dates, and Pricing Information

Program Deadlines

Students must submit application materials on or before application deadlines. The $500 initial program payment and the $300 housing deposit are also due on or before the application deadline. If you are applying on or near the application deadline, you must pay half of the program payment and the housing deposit with your application. These payments will be returned to you in full in the event you are not accepted. Payment deadline indicates date by which the entire program fee must be paid.

There is a $125 late application fee for students applying after the application deadline. Please note, late applicants may not receive course and/or housing preferences and may experience difficulty obtaining their visa prior to program start date.

Students may establish a payment plan (for an additional fee of $130) whereby payment in full will not be due until 10 days prior to departure. For financial aid students, payment in full is due upon the release of their financial aid funds with a signed personal guarantee.

Program Dates and Pricing: Study Abroad

The program dates are listed below and indicate arrival and departure dates for each session. Corresponding costs are dependent upon site, session, program/course, and housing selection. Please be sure to read carefully all conditions regarding your selections.

Also, when making outbound travel arrangements, be mindful of the time change. Please be sure that your flight arrives in Italy on the correct day, as flights often arrive in Italy the day after US departure.

Program Dates and Pricing: Summer Workshops and Field School

The workshops and field school are short-term programs that provide 6 credits and include at least 1 week countryside. Please refer to the website for detailed descriptions of the programs.

Housing costs include coverage of utility costs up to $75. Utility expenses above $75 will be charged to student residents.

Students who are enrolled for the Fall semester and wish to stay for the Spring semester may store luggage/belongings between sessions. LdM will assist students in finding storage and students will pay storage provider directly on site.

Students interested in other housing options (residence, hotel, B&B, or hostel) should contact the LdM North American Enrollment Services + Academic Relations Office for additional housing costs. Housing with a host family is available on a very limited basis.


Student Insurance Pricing

This supplemental insurance is required. Although it is not included in the Tuition Cost, it is included in the Total Program Cost below.

    A $300.00 Housing Deposit is required for the student apartments for all sites/sessions. The deposit is refundable at program's end, minus any damages.
