2010 at LdM: Summer Course Schedules and Workshop Offerings Now Available!

In 2010, LdM continues its over 35 year legacy of empowering students to realize their potential through study abroad. Summer at LdM presents you with the opportunity to authentically engage with the community worldwide, whether earning credit toward your degree at your home institution or exploring your personal or professional interests. Month-long courses offered at our Florence, Rome, and Tuscania campuses range from art/design to sociology, from art history to philosophy, and from business/communications to Italian language and culture. The LdM Summer Workshops and Archaeology Field School offer a balance of classroom instruction and field work for students of archeology, painting, restoration, and writing.

LdM Archaeology Students Unearth Ancient Etruscan Tomb

The series of excavations planned for 2009, organized by Lorenzo de' Medici under the archaeological supervision of Etruria Meridionale and the town of Tuscania, has unearthed a sepulcher with burial niches dating from the Hellenistic period of the Etruscan civilization. This particular excavation is part of an overall project under the direction of Dott. Stefano Giuntoli, who has already seen some important finds during recent excavations in the Pina delle Rusciare and Fosso Caprino areas, including the discovery of six sarcophagi and a bronze mirror now on display in the National Museum of Riposo.

NEW: Lorenzo de' Medici Expands in 2009
